Eligibility Verification. The Immigration and naturalization law of 1986
requires employers to verify within 3 business days of hiring, that all
employees hired after Nov. 6, 1986, are citizens or aliens authorized to
work in the U.S.A. Both employer and employee are required to fill in
information to complete an I-9 Form.
